Shelton to discuss early warning signs in learning

Shelton School will offer a free workshop, Early Warning Signs of Learning Differences in the Pre-Schooler, Wed., Jan. 25, 9 – 10:30 a.m. Presented by Dr. Joyce Pickering, Shelton’s executive director emeritus, and Amy Kelton, head of instruction for EC – 5, the workshop is for parents, teachers and other professionals.

The workshop takes place on campus at 15720 Hillcrest Road, Dallas. Topics include: normal developmental stages of the pre-schooler; delays in speech, language and motor skills; attention deficit disorder (ADD) in children ages three through six; and positive, practical educational solutions. The program concludes with an optional tour of the school.
