HOLIDAY TRADITIONS Eight days of Chanukah come early this year
by Shari Goldstein Stern
The first “light” of Chanukah was last Saturday night, and the celebration will continue through Sunday, Dec. 16. Chanukah begins on the Hebrew calendar, the 25th day of Kislev, so it’s celebrated on the lunar calendar date, usually in December, for eight days....
