Bicyclist to ride 24-hour relay to raise money for children with cancer
On April 12, the members of the General’s Guard, a volunteer cycling team that raises money for cancer survivors, will begin a 24-hour cycling relay at White Rock Lake to raise funds from sponsors and individuals for Heroes for Children, a local cancer support organization in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. In three years, the White Rock 5K has raised nearly $30,000 for families of Dallas police and firefighters in desperate times of need.
