Big Tex goes up in flames
At 10:15 a.m. Oct. 19, reports came in that the iconic cowboy who welcomes fairgoers had caught on fire. The fire came on the last weekend of the 2012 fair and Texas Storm Chasers has posted audio of the call on YouTube. Dallas Fire-Rescue units had a some fun reporting updates. "Got a rather tall cowboy with all his clothes burned off," one responder said. "Howdy folks, it's hot," said another.
