VNA offers financial help
Shelly Mathis, an accredited estate planner, will be the featured speaker at the March 28 bereavement luncheon hosted by the Visiting Nurse Association. Mathis will speak on “Coping with the Financial Stresses of Bereavement.” The luncheon is from noon to 1 p.m. at the Church of the Incarnation on 3966 McKinney Ave. in Dallas. Miles rules the (geo) world
What is the population of Istanbul? How about the currency of Botswana? Just ask Miles Okamoto (pictured above, center), an eighth grader at St. John’s Episcopal School. Next month, Miles will participate in the state-level competition of the National Geographic Bee in Bedford, Texas. Miles submitted a written examination to qualify as one of the top 100 students who would advance to the state competition. Approximately 700 students applied. ...
