The Exchange Club of Lake Highlands and the Lake Highlands Military Moms teamed up to pack gift boxes for Lake Highlands military serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. The event took place on Nov. 26 at the Knights of Columbus. Participants included members of both organizations as well as other interested area neighbors. A number of children were also on hand to write notes and letters to put in the boxes. One hundred eighteen boxes of snack items, toiletries, games, books, etc., were packed and sent on their way.
