On Nov. 18, Dorothy Peavy (above, left in brown hat) received the keys to her new house from custom homebuilder John Teltschik (at right), a member of the Retired Professional Football Players of Dallas. Peavy’s home was beyond repair and the Retired Players worked with a number of professional craftsmen to build a new house.
The original house was demolished and the majority of the new home was built in three days. Final touches were completed within a few more days.
Peavy is a longtime resident of the South Dallas neighborhood and is known as a person who feeds and cares for her family and others.
This is the 13th house built by the Retired Professional Football Players of Dallas.
