The duo are the Honorary Chairs and featured speakers for A Writer’s Garden Valentine’s Tea, hosted by the Women’s Council of the Dallas Arboretum. With the program’s theme, "Unstoppable Women," the high-profile women definitely fit the description.
Dee and D’Andra Simmons work together at Ultimate Living International, the nutritional and skin care company Dee founded in 1996 after a battle with cancer. Diagnosed with breast cancer in 1987, Dee "took charge" of her life and her health and began a journey to obtain the knowledge to prevent her cancer from reoccurring. At 71, the energetic CEO and her daughter co-host a daily talk show on KTAQ TV.
The event will be on Tues., Feb. 7 from 2 to 4 p.m. in Rosine Hall at the Dallas Arboretum. Event Chair and Mistress of Ceremonies is Jocelyn White.
“Dee and D'Andra are not only beautiful--inside and out–but they are fascinating and engaging individuals as well," event chair Jocelyn White said.
“From their Texas memories to their social endeavors to their searches for the cutting edge in health and beauty, they have a wealth of information to share. And we will tap those riches during this very special Valentine Tea program!"
Proceeds will benefit A Woman’s Garden at the Dallas Arboretum, a world-renowned display garden created as a tribute to the spirit of all women across generations. Tickets begin at $65 and are available at womenscouncildallasarboretum.org. Further info: 214-912-2464 or joceink@aol.com.
