Dallas Lutheran School was represented at the Dallas Regional Science and Engineering Fair on Saturday, Feb. 25, by eighth grader Amy Marshall and senior Dillon McInnes. Amy defended and explained the finer points of making speakers out of various materials – even a disposable plate! Dillon explained how to capture the by-product gases from burning wood and use them as an alternative fuel to power a mower. Dillon won third place and qualifies to go on to the state tournament. He also earned the I-SWEEP Outstanding Sustainability Award and will go to Houston in May for a special group project.
