White Rock Boat Club, the sailing and kayaking club located at the north end of White Rock Lake, continues to flourish. Under the direction of former Club Commodore Megan Doren the club doubled its membership. This past year was a busy one for the club as it celebrated its 50th anniversary and participated in the Lake’s centennial activities.

White Rock Boat Club officers for 2012 were announced at the annual meeting in February held at Highland Park Cafeteria in Casa Linda: Commodore Miles Zitmore, Vice-Commodore Paul McDonald, Treasurer Jon Fuhrman, Secretary Joan Bond. Board members include Don Bell, Roy Evans, Jim Webb and Bradley Wright. John Galvin will serve as Social Committee Chair.

According to incoming Commodore Miles Zitmore, goals for this year include adding more sailing and boating classes and fun activities for members.
