Cougars, do you have fond memories of R.B. Harris’ PA announcements? What about Mrs. Justine Weaver’s general dislike of kids? Remember everyone’s sweetheart, Mrs. Francys Wall? What was up with Froggy… Mr. Gary Atwood? Who could forget Mrs. Maryellen Wilbanks’ tirades? Wasn’t Mrs. Elizabeth Cohen a lovely person? Bring your memories when you join your friends from BA’s graduating classes of 1965, ’66 and ’67 at CougarPalooza II the weekend of May 18 and 19. Friday’s event is for the class of ’66 only. They will reunite at 7 p.m. at Ozona Grill & Bar at 4615 Greenville, 214-265-9105 (Formerly Cardinal Puffs; north of Mockingbird). Saturday’s event is at the Lakewood Theater, 1825 Abrams Parkway, Dallas 75214, 214-821-7469 from 6 p.m. to midnight for the classes of ’65, ’66 and ’67. For out-of-towners who may not know, the Lakewood was converted into a private party venue. Those attending last year’s ’66 CougarPalooza used “ideal” and “perfect” to describe the Lakewood for their reunion. Tickets are on sale in advance at $25 per person until May 1. After that, advance tickets will be $50 per person or $100 at the door. Send your check or money order to CougarPalooza II, 2108 Birdwood Circle, Corinth, Texas 76210.
CougarPalooza II was the brainchild of the class of ’66, who hope to make it an annual event. The reunion was made possible through the kindness of several generous sponsors. Get your spirit out of the drawer, remember your green and see you at CougarPalooza II!
